Oh it feels good to be reviewing art exhibitions again. I have not done this for YEARS! So bare me as I get back into the swing of things.
I have been a huge fan of the Spanish contemporary painter DULK for years, he was exhibited at Moniker Art Fair back in 2017 with a solo show with our friends over at Thinkspace Gallery, and the artist has been consistent with his painting and practice. He really is a magical artist. His new museum exhibition at Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporania in Valencia is the newest display of his incredible magic.
Large scale detailed animal sculptures sit center stage surrounded by a thematic hand painted room, that fully immerses you into his world. What a massive under-taking this must of been to complete. The experience looks almost animated, yet it lives fully in the physical space of the museum. I really have to respect the museum to support DULK on this creative venture and to see the amazing talent of his young painter. If only more museums would be so forward thinking.
